Hi! I’m Maisha.

I’m the proud owner of Downtown Bodywork. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist who wants to help you feel better in your body. I believe feeling good and pain-free in our bodies is one of the biggest contributors to wellbeing; this motivates me to be continually learning and doing the best work I can to help my clients. I am a practitioner who encourages movement. The more you move, the better you feel. The better you feel, the more you’ll move! This creates huge ripple effects to our mental and emotional health as well. Physical relief supports mental relief; physical wellness supports mental and emotional wellness. The body-mind connection is so real and I love fostering this discovery and experience for people.

I am also a competitive triathlete. Training for and competing in sport is one of my greatest passions, and it is also a huge asset to my work. I have a great appreciation for how our bodies work and what they do for us. I know first-hand the toll our bodies take from both athletics and in regular living, and know the kind of care and upkeep we need in response so we can keep doing what we love! I will give my all to helping you achieve the results you’re looking for, because I know how much it matters.

Due to how much I love to move (and know all the benefits it offers me), and because I see firsthand how much lack of movement and strength negatively impact people, I am also passionate about helping others get strong and active in their own lives. Whether someone is looking to gain general fitness, or wants to run a marathon, I light up hearing from people who are setting new goals for themselves and want help making it happen.

Bodywork is a gift - of awareness, of bodily relief and restoration, of connection and care, of inspiration. I love giving this gift. My goal is to help your body feel good and be more functional, to help you understand your body and what it needs to move well, and to help you feel empowered as an active participant in your own health.

Meet JEANA

Jeana Wiseman, Downtown Bodywork’s newest Massage Therapist, integrates alternative and conventional therapies to treat pain that comes as a result of trauma, lifestyle, athletic training, and unhealthy body patterns. She works with her clients to help the body feel better physically, and provides tools to keep the body in that optimal state. Sessions are always tailored to clients specific needs. Jeana specializes in deep tissue, trigger point therapy, specialized neck work, and Swedish massage. Her top priority is to use her knowledge and skill to create trust within a professional relationship. With this trust she will work with you to come up with specific goals, working towards meeting your expectations.

Jeana has wanted to be a massage therapist since she was a young girl. She wanted to be just like her aunt, who was a therapist. She became serious about pursuing a career in massage when she began to experience debilitating migraines, and found healing through massage when other medical interventions were not working. She was inspired to do the same for her loved ones and others around her dealing with pain. Jeana is committed to living a life with less pain, and helping others do the same.

When she is not working, Jeana is an outdoor enthusiast. Her favorite activities include cycling, running in the early mornings, and overall fitness and health. She has great respect for the body and all the things it can do!
