Hi! I’m Maisha.

I’m the proud owner of Downtown Bodywork. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist who wants to help you feel better in your body. I believe feeling good and pain-free in our bodies is one of the biggest contributors to wellbeing; this motivates me to be continually learning and doing the best work I can to help my clients. I am a practitioner who encourages movement. The more you move, the better you feel. The better you feel, the more you’ll move! This creates huge ripple effects to our mental and emotional health as well. Physical relief supports mental relief; physical wellness supports mental and emotional wellness. The body-mind connection is so real and I love fostering this discovery and experience for people.

I am also a competitive triathlete. Training for and competing in sport is one of my passions, and it is also a huge asset to my work. I have a great appreciation for how our bodies work and what they do for us. I know first-hand the toll our bodies take from both athletics and day-to-day life, and know the kind of care and upkeep we need so we can keep doing what we love! I will give my all to helping you achieve the results you’re looking for, because I know how much it matters.

Bodywork is a gift - of awareness, of bodily relief and restoration, of connection and care, of inspiration. I love giving this gift. My goal is to help your body feel good and be more functional, to help you understand your body and what it needs to move well, and to help you feel empowered as an active participant in your own health.

Hi! I’m jenn.

I am originally from Texas, and moved to Indiana in December 2024. In 2018 I was a newly divorced survivor of domestic abuse. I needed to heal and create a new life for myself and my two children. I enrolled in school for massage therapy with the intent to help others who have suffered trauma.

After completing the program, I worked with women’s shelters and community outreach. Then my goal shifted to learning as much as I could. While continuing to volunteer my services to survivors, I pursued massage work in many different and diverse contexts. I worked with chiropractors, physical therapists, at sporting events, medical spas, and day spas and gained valuable experience with different bodies and body issues that all shapes my work today.

Many people deal with chronic pain that negatively affects daily life. My goal is to help alleviate pain and movement restrictions. All of my sessions are client-by-client based, meaning I create unique sessions using various tools and modalities based on need, as well as what I feel in your body throughout our session. I move slowly and work with your breath to create a relaxing experience that also allows for effective change to tissues. I love to educate clients to help improve overall wellness and quality of life.

When I am not doing bodywork, I am spending time with my wonderful husband and two kids exploring parks and trails, bowling or riding bikes.
